Shop Talk

The other day, on a tangent of a conversation we were having at work, someone mentioned that Germany and France are considering combining their armies. My first thought, which came so quickly that I could not stop it from leaving my mouth was: "Didn't they do that in the Forties?" Most of the young'uns didn't get it, but I did get a few chuckles (and at least one guffaw).
